3 Poems for the Month of May
These are three poems dedicated to May.
Man o' Man o' Man
"Maaaaannn, I ain't too sure
of nothing," Pa
would say & then
Mrs. Miles would say, "You
need to fix your
attitude." And then later,
while looking in the
mirror, "What do
you say, dude?"
Look yourself in the eyes and scream!
Maaaaannn, be 100% certain
whatever you're
eating is good food &
don't look down
for nothing or
nobody. OH! and
lay your painter's tape
even, for Christ's sake.
Go on, tell the moon, "Goodnight, moon."
Maaaaannn, how many
more times do you
have to do that? "Get
it right the first time
and take a nap," Pa would
say, and then Mrs. Miles
would ask, "What's the biggest
